The Mountain Home Fire / Rescue Department is very pro-active in fire prevention and education. Each year the department visits with thousands of children and adults. The inspection / investigation department is led by Capt. Gary Pyszka. The department has one of the only fire safety houses within the North Arkansas region and utilizes it many times throughout the year. The department also does yearly occupancy inspections of all commercial buildings inside the city, and residences upon request of the occupant.
